With this modular structure, the Value Booster is easily customizable for specific projects, making it both robust and versatile.
While the 3rd-party software mentioned above is already fully integrated into the Value Booster, its flexible design allows to easily exchange components. If you prefer to use a different search engine or CMS, only the integration component inside the API layer needs to be adjusted. That is also true for alternative storefront technologies – the commercetools Frontend for example could just as well be used to power the storefront.

A crucial element are the API integration layers: one that channels the capabilities of the commerce platform and additional services such as search and CMS to the storefront, and one that handles the integration a back-end services such as ERP or PIM. All the “heavy lifting” such as data conversion and complex computations happen in well-structured micro-services, without the need to touch the commerce core.
