About

inRiver is the foundation for e-commerce success in an omnichannel world. Selling into new geographies, channels, stocking the digital shelf, and managing complex product content just got easier and faster. We help you redefine commerce and sell more.
With connections to both, back-end and front-end systems, inRiver bridges the gap in your tech stack to ensure one single source of truth for product information. Build better product experiences – in a single platform. Create, enrich, publish, print, or syndicate content to reach more buyers. The inRiver solution helps marketers, merchandisers and commerce teams deliver that frictionless path to purchase. We help you increase sales, streamline syndication, reduce product returns, and build better customer experiences that drive more revenue.

Main Features

Supply: Speed time to market with easy access to product data feeds (ERP, PLM, and more.) Add, manage, and control your inbound information and connectors with just a few clicks.

Enrich: No more manual work. Automatically enrich product content, manage media files, and build context. A central hub ensures collaboration and optimization for internal and external teams.

Plan: Increase selling days by automating product content across touchpoints. Schedule, optimize, and schedule your content for specific channel requirements.

Publish: Scale quickly. Publish high-quality content anywhere and everywhere from print to e-catalogs, in-store signage, or mobile. Streamline updates with automated updates across all channels saving time and costly errors.

Syndicate: Scale to reach new channels, marketplaces, wholesalers, or data pools quickly and easily. Product content is automatically optimized and formatted to meet any standards or regulations across the globe. No more chargebacks, no worries – just opportunities.

Description of the Integration

inRiver’s commercetools integration synchronizes data using an inRiver Extension built by a System Integrator, leveraging the inRiver Integration Framework.

  • An inRiver Channel, set up in Plan and Release, is used to determine what information is sent to commercetools.

  • The Framework tracks changes so only data that has changed will be synchronized.

  • The inRiver Extension runs on demand or on a schedule.

  • A mapping is used to transform inRiver data elements to commercetools data elements.

  • After the transformation is complete, changes are delivered to commercetools using the commercetools HTTP API.

Once inRiver is integrated, category, product, variation and asset information can be sent from inRiver to Commercetools.
